Anti-racism & Inclusivity for the Rocket Community
How do we, as the community of Rocket, go forward into the future and build a community that is truly based on anti-racism and inclusivity? This
3-part workshop will take place over 3 consecutive days, with homework after each session.
This workshop is being custom-designed for the Rocket community by Matthew Reynolds to look at how our unconscious biases have informed our past behavior, but just as importantly how we can learn new patterns to build the kind of community we want in the future. This is a "dig-deep" kind of thing, really learning to look at our own internal biases and how they impact the community dynamic as related to Rocket.
The whole staff crew will be here, and up to 15 community members. We will come out of it, we hope, with a deeper understanding of ourselves, and a plan for accountability going forward.
You can learn more about Matthew on his Web site, but you won't see this workshop on there specifically, because it is being designed for us and our needs at this moment in time.
The three sessions will be:
Friday, August 21, 6:00-8:00 pm
Saturday, August 22, 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Sunday, August 23, 2:00 - 4:00 pm
